Our 18-day Honeymoon in Argentina explores Buenos Aires, traditional estancias (ranches) and stunning Iguazu Fall, as well as the surreal Salta and Jujuy regions of Northern Argentina. This Argentine honeymoon finishes in style with the lush wines and majestic Andes mountains of Mendoza Self-drive tours (road-trips) are considered one of the best ways for independent travelers to visit a region at their own pace. The route is planned in advance and nights are pre-arranged in select hotels. Honeymooners are given a suggested route (with maps) and they are free to make as many stops as they desire.

Day 01
Buenos Aires
Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred by private service to your hotel leaving you the remained of the day to explore the city and possibly get your first glimpse of the Obelisco, Casa Rosada, or the tree-lined streets of Recoleta.
Day 02
Buenos Aires Tour and Tango Show
Breakfast. Our City Tour will provide you a great overview of the city and its diverse attractions. Over the course of three hours you will have the chance to visit Retiro, Avenida 9 de Julio, Downtown, Puerto Madero, San Telmo, Recoleta and La Boca. In the evening you will be treated to one of Buenos Aires' most emblematic cultural highlight's; a Dinner and Tango Show offering a spectacular demonstration of the local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you'd like.
Day 03
Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the available Optional Tours. We recommend taking a day trip to an Estancia (ranch).
Day 04
Buenos Aires / Posadas - La Chacra, Oberá
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be taken to the domestic airport to take your flight to Posadas. Private service. Upon arrival at the airport you will pick up your car at the company's counter. Recommendable visits to enjoy during your first day: - Jesuit Ruins San Ignacio Mini. Length: 2-2:30h (60 km ~ 37 miles). You will lodge and spend the night at La Chacra, located in Obera 97 km (60 miles) from downtown Posadas. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the available activities offered in La Chacra. Lunch & dinner included
Day 05
La Chacra / Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast. At appropriate time in the morning you will leave La Chacra following Route 103 and then National Route 12 to the N to finally arrive in Puerto Iguazu. Length: 3-4h (306 km ~ 190 miles). During today´s drive, you will be amazed as the scenery becomes more and more tropical and provides a welcome change from the plains. Upon arrival, accommodation in selected hotel. You will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the tropical climate and jungle setting.
Day 06
Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast. On this day, we recommend you to visit the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls where you will have intimate views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River (17 km ~ 10 miles). It's better if you get up early as you have trails through the 210 square mile reserve! Those trails provide visitors with various views of the falls, especially the largest one, Devil's Throat. An option is adding the Safari Nautico boat trip that will take you right up to the base of the Falls (as an extra cost) this exiting excursion is highly recommend in order to feel the power of the Iguazu Falls. You have to know that you will get 100% wet because it is like a "natural shower". Be sure to take some extra clothes if you want to do this extra excursion).
Day 07
Puerto Iguazu / Salta
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will drive to the airport and leave your car at the airport counter to take your flight to Salta. In case you have the morning at leisure, we recommend you to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls where you will enjoy vast panoramic views of the Falls allowing you to take them in in their entirety. Upon arrival in Salta airport you will pick up your car at the airport counter. The capital city of the province offers several visits to enjoy during your first day: - Downtown Circuit & San Lorenzo Hill. Length: 2h. Highlights: Main Square (9 de Julio), Cathedral, San Francisco Church, Council House & the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology of Salta. Tonight you will spend the night in the selected hotel in Salta.
Day 08
Salta / Cachi
Breakfast. We recommend start in the morning the drive to Cachi (162 km ~ 100 miles) crossing the Lerma Valley and National Park Los Cardones, on your way to Salta, in a total circuit of 160 km (100 miles) visiting Cerrillos, Pulares, Escoipe Gorge, Cuesta del Obispo at 3348m above sea level and Recta de Tin Tin. Tonight you will spend the night in the selected hotel in Cachi.
Day 09
Cachi / Cafayate
Breakfast. You will leave along Route 40 to the S following River Calchaqui to the town of Cachi crossing mountain landscapes with important archaeological sites and visiting on the way picturesque villages that made their lives from agriculture where you will be able to purchase home made wines or jams among other products. Animana, San Carlos, Angastaco, Molinos and Seclantas are some of the attractive tows. Cachi is located 180 km (112 miles) from Cafayate. Tonight you will spend the night in the selected hotel in Cafayate.
Day 10
Cafayate / Salta
Breakfast. Suggested visits on the way back to Salta: - Las Conchas Gorge. Total travel: 84 km (52 miles). You will head along Route 68 crossing Quebrada del Río Las Conchas or Quebrada de Cafayate, with spectacular and natural formations like the devil's gorge, the amphitheater (famous for its particular acoustics), the castles or the monk. Tonight you will spend the night in the selected hotel in Salta.
Day 11
Salta / Purmamarca
Breakfast. Today you will start the commonly called Road to the Clouds, which follows the track of the famous Train to the Clouds to San Antonio de los Cobres, by Route 51. Crossing through Campo Quijano and the amazing Quebrada del Toro you will reach Santa Rosa del Tastil, a pre Inca City , where you can visit the XVIII century ruins. Before continuing by Route 40 to Purmamarca you will be able to stop at Salinas Grandes (Big Salts Flats) only inhabited by autochthon Fauna. The total circuit length is 13h and you will end at Purmamarca, at the foot of the Seven Colors Hill, where you will spend the night at your selected accommodation.
Day 12
Purmamarca – Humahuaca Gorge
Breakfast. Today you will drive along the Humahuaca Gorge, declared World Human Heritage by UNESCO. You will first reach Tilcara (7217 Ft.) with its Pucará (old Indian fortress), the Archaeological Museum, and the old church of Uquia. In Humahuaca, you will find the handicraft market and the monument to Belgrano. You will then drive back to Salta, we suggest the following route: - Route to San Salvador de Jujuy. Total travel: 83 km (51 miles). Highlights: Tumbaya, Termas de Reyes (Hot Springs complex where you can relax and have lunch) and the capital city of Jujuy. Return to Purmamarca in the evening.
Day 13
Purmamarca / Salta
Breakfast. Return to Salta. From Jujuy there are 120 km (75 miles) to Salta. If you like, you can start your return by noon in order to visit Cabra Corral Dam to enjoy your last day. Tonight you will spend the night in the selected hotel in Salta.
Day 14
Salta / Chacras de Coria
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will drive to the airport and leave your car at the airport counter to take your flight to Mendoza. Upon arrival in Mendoza airport you will pick up your car at the airport counter. The city of offers several visits to enjoy during your first day. You will lodge and spend the night your selected hotel in Chacras de Coria located in 22 km (13 miles) from the airport.
Day 15
Chacras de Coria
Breakfast. We recommend you visiting some of the wineries located in the area. This is the central wine producing region of Mendoza which provides some of the most beautiful views of the Andes Range.
Day 16
Chacras de Coria
Breakfast. Free day to visit the majestic Andes. We recommend that you visit Mount Aconcagua and enjoy an easy walk from the park entrance to Lake Horcones for some incredible mountain scenery. Or if you prefer more adventure, go white water rafting or take a zip-line tour along the Mendoza River.
Day 17
Chacras de Coria – Mendoza / Buenos Aires
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will drive to the airport and leave your car at the airport counter to take your flight back to Buenos Aires. At appropriate time in the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival you will be taken to the hotel, private service.

At appropriate time you will be escorted by private service to the international airport for your flight back home.
