Tour Perito Moreno Glacier, enchanting Bariloche Lake District & more

Featuring the highlights of Bariloche Lake District, this trip also explores Argentina’s most seductive city: Buenos Aires, as well as the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier at El Calafate, the start destination of Patagonia.

Day 1 – Travel to Argentina, first stop Buenos Aires

Welcome to Buenos Aires! Upon arrival to the city, you will be met at the airport by our driver and transferred to your hotel.

The capital of Argentina, also known as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title with a rich heritage and different cultures. Explore buildings reminiscent of traditional European architecture, walk down the cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, visit the local antiques and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping and taste the mouthwatering barbecue prepared with prized Argentine beef let to sizzle on an open parrilla.

Buenos Aires is also home to some excellent local designers and you will certainly find the perfect leather jacket, long leather boots and handbags for all occasions. Above all, Buenos Aires is known as the home of tango. Be sure to enjoy a traditional tango show accompanied by dinner and explore the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this vibrant city, leaving you the remainder of the day to explore the historic neighborhoods and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.

Day 2 – Buenos Aires City Tour & Tango Show

You will be picked up from your hotel In the morning for the city tour. Over the course of a half-day tour, you will have the chance to visit San Telmo, the historical and political centre of the city known for La Boca, a historic neighbourhood with a strong European flavour. This is the part of the city where Buenos Aires turns colourful and tango is ever present. Also take a trip to the aristocratic neighbourhood of Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the Paris of the South. Duration: 4-5 hours.

In the evening, you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlights: a dinner and tango show offering the spectacular demonstration of the finest local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you like. At the end of the evening you will be driven back to your hotel. Total duration: (dinner +show) 4 hours.

All of the excursions were fantastic

We used Say Hueque for a trip way back in 2011 and were very pleased with the service. Booking with Agustin was easy and pleasant.

I booked all of our accommodations independently. For what it is worth, our one-night stay at the Recoleta Grand was a disappointment. I did not like hotel and would not recommend it. Though not especially convenient to the “downtown” area of Bariloche, we did love the views of the Charming Inn.

All of the excursions were fantastic. I don’t think we had a favorite. I am very pleased that Lette added the chairlift ride to our ¼ day hike. The views were amazing. All 3 of our guides - Agostina (BA), Lette (Bariloche), and Emmy (Tigre River cruise guide - not a Say Hueque employee) were amazing. All were super knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, warm, friendly - excellent ambassadors for Argentina. We spent the most time with Agostina who I found especially thoughtful, so she will always have a special place in my heart.

Wasn’t sure how I felt about the river cruise before we went, but it was terrific and I’m glad we did it.

We’ve been following the Boca/River Plate soccer drama! What a nightmare!

Overall we thought Say Hueque did a good job

We had a wonderful trip and really enjoyed your country. Overall we thought Say Hueque did a good job, and we really enjoyed their recommended tours.

I chose your company because I liked your focus on independent travelers. We appreciated having pick ups that knew our itinerary to get us started in each location.

Regarding the hotels, we really liked the Vain. The people there went out of their way to be helpful. We also liked the location.

The excursions were nice. We most enjoyed the penguins tour and the glacier hike.

The guide Flor in Buenos Aires was excellent. We also liked our glacier hike guide, but have lost track of his name and Maya on the penguin tour.

It would be better if we had a single rep pre-trip instead of switching once we agreed to book. I also would prefer ala carte pricing, so we could better decide which services to buy and which to handle ourselves.
