BUENOS AIRES & MENDOZA

Description

This tour will take you to two of the most desirable destinations of our country- from the European Buenos Aires plenty of restaurants, tango, theaters, history and architecture, to the relaxing Mendoza, with the impressive Andes on the horizon, as well as the green vineyards all around, you will definitively want to come back!

Day 1 – Your Adventure in Argentina, starts in Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina!
Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as shows off plenty of its own culture! Explore the traditional European architecture, the cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, the local antique and artisanal markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping, and the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrrilla” (barbeque) in the air. Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers and you will certainly find the perfect leather jacket, long leather boots and handbags for all occasions. Though above all, Buenos Aires is known as the home of the tango. Be sure to enjoy a traditional dinner-tango show and explore the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met at the airport and have a transfer in private to your hotel.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this vibrant city, leaving you the remainder of the day to explore the historic neighborhoods and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.

Duration; 3-4 hours

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel (shared service) to be driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlight’s; a Dinner and Tango Show offering a spectacular demonstration of the finest local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you’d like.
At the end of the evening you will be driven back to your hotel.

We also pass by the villages of Picheuta, Polvareda and Punta de Vacas, access point to Mendoza ski resort “Los Penitentes” which works from June to August.
Further ahead is Puente del Inca where river “Las Cuevas” has carved the mountain forming a natural bridge with strands of natural hot springs. You will also be able to appreciate the magnificence of Mount Aconcagua the “colossus of America” with 6959 meters of height

We had a great time on our honeymoon in Buenos Aires and Mendoza! We really appreciated you guys working with us to personalize our itinerary so we had plenty of time to relax and explore on our own.

Hey Patty!

So sorry for the late response. We had a great time on our honeymoon in Buenos Aires and Mendoza! We really appreciated you guys working with us to personalize our itinerary so we had plenty of time to relax and explore on our own. Here is the requested feedback:

1) We found Say Hueque online (Google). We did not do too much research on tour companies...you guys seemed legit so we just went for it!
2) Best part was that everything (transfers, tours, air travel) was executed as planned and on time with very little hassle.
3) The two hotels we stayed in (L'Hotel in BA and Huentala Hotel in Mendoza) were equally good. Both hotels were within walking distance to a number of restaurants, parks and Subte in BA which is what we wanted. Roberto at L'Hotel was awesome and helpful and Jose helped me figure out how to say "creo que deje mi tarjeta de credito aca ayer" so I could retrieve my card from a restaurant ha!! :P. Our room at Huentala Hotel was actually a suite - very nice.
4) Wine and bike tour - it was a beautiful day and we learned something different on each tour. Each bodega was unique and had something different to offer in terms of scenery, history and their wine making processes.
5) Most of our guides were awesome. You, Patty of course! We really wanted to explore BA on our own and you gave us some excellent tips and suggestions. Thanks for spending some time with us to help us get oriented! Our driver in Mendoza, Martin, was excellent and really fun to talk with. Vicente was a great tour guide for the wine/bike tour - it was cool to hear about the history of the wine region and the Mendocinos. JuanP and Carlos were a fun duo who took us up to Aconcagua. We learned a lot from them and I was impressed with their geology knowledge ;)
6) We did have a little bit of trouble with communication while planning and getting our final confirmation and itinerary in order. I would have preferred a quicker response - it took us about 2 weeks to get the final confirmed itinerary after we made the final payment. Also, just keep an eye on your local tour companies. As you know we had multiple problems with the horseback riding tour, which, by the way, you were very quick to respond and resolve (THANK YOU).

A couple of extra perks: The sparkling wine from Say Hueque was a nice gift upon our arrival at our hotel in BA. THANK YOU. Huentala Hotel also gave us a celebratory bottle for our room there, which was a pleasant surprise. And of course, the parting gift of alfajores was so awesome and very thoughtful (you know I have a sweet tooth)! Also, everyone (tour guides/drivers) was very personable and fun to talk with. We learned more about Argentina just by talking with everyone.

It was a great trip overall, and if we can get back there for a Patagonia trip we will hit you up.

Thanks and hope you're well. Happy Holidays!!
Rachel

We are so happy we booked our trip through you. Say Hueque really made everything so easy and stress free.

HI Patty,
Thank you for the email. All went smooth on our return home. We are so happy we booked our trip through you. Say Hueque really made everything so easy and stress free. It was all wonderful. I will definitely add a review on Tripadvisor- once i figure out how to add to that thread.
Answers to your questions are below:

Which hotel did you like the most? We loved Fierro! The room was great, balcony was awesome to have, staff was great and the restaurant was the best food we had in BA! We also loved Posada Verde Oliva- it was so charming and cozy, and their dinners were fantastic!
Which was your favorite excursion? It's a toss up between the wine outing and the glacier- for very different reasons. We ended up adding the lunch at Septima on to our wine day, and are super happy we did!
What was the best of traveling with us? Is there anything you think could be improved? You really made our honeymoon Stress free! All of your recommendations were great, everyone we worked with was great, overall, just fantastic!
