Start your 5-day trip to Torres del Paine National Park with a pickup from any of these destinations: Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, or Calafate (Argentina). Today you’ll spend your first night in this awarded eco-lodge inside the park.
On the way to your accommodation, we’ll take you to discover a couple other interesting places near Torres del Paine!
First, we’ll enjoy a close-up view of the lakeside in Puerto Natales, where a statue of Milodon – the last giant sloth that walked the Earth 5000 years ago – will be waiting at the entrance of this picturesque town to wave its bronze hand.
Once in Puerto Natales, walk along the shores of “Cabo Última Esperanza” or just relax in one of the little cafes in town while admiring the patchwork facade of colorful houses. Enjoy lunch before leaving town, and try the best seafood in Southern Chile.
We’ll continue by exploring the Milodon Cave, three prehistoric caves where the remains of a giant ground sloth were discovered in the 1890s. Before getting to the caves, we will pass by La Silla del Diablo and learn about its mysterious legend… a story told by the oldest man in Patagonia who believed that the Devil appeared to those who came looking for him on dark nights.
At the end of the day, we’ll reach Torres del Paine National Park and bring you to your dome to spend your first night inside the park. Enjoy dinner at the community dome and start making some new travel buds.
