IGUAZU EXPRESS – One Day Tour

Enjoy a day trip to Iguazu Falls from Buenos Aires

Visit Iguazu Falls in a different way. Accompanied by a bilingual guide, this tour will give you the chance to experience the impressive collection of 250 waterfalls. Venture into the jungle and get to know the coatis (native raccoons) and the awe-inspiring “Devil’s throat”. Discover walking trails and the eco-train’s perfect harmony with nature on this one day express tour of Iguazú Falls National Park.

Day 1 –Welcome to Iguazú!: Argentinian side of the falls

The small border town of Puerto Iguazú is the gateway to visit the impressive Iguazú Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site, making it a must-see destination for any traveler visiting Argentina.

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport (or bus station) by our driver and bilingual local guide. They will pick you up and drive you to the National Park, on the Argentinian side. We highly recommend not taking any luggage with you, in order to be able to leave the airport more quickly.

The falls are surrounded by a humid subtropical forest where the exuberant vegetation is home to many different animals and birds. Our guide will help you spot some of them: ant birds, toucans, manakins, parrots, coatis, just to name a few of the most common birds. Lower and upper walkways weave in and around falls permitting up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. The Argentinian side of the falls is filled with a myriad of paths and walkways and stairways which allow you to have an experience from many different perspectives. You will have the chance to meet “The Devil’s throat”: the largest of the falls and for many the most spellbinding. To get to the “Devil’s throat” you take the ecological train and then walk out along boardwalks. After walking and taking pictures of animals and plants, you will have some free time to eat lunch in this amazing environment.

At the end of this once-in-a-lifetime tour you will be driven to the airport (or bus station).

This exciting, 6-7 hour-long excursion is highly recommended in order to experience the true power of Iguazú falls.

Say Hueque tips

Where to eat lunch?

Inside the National Park, in the area called “Patio de servicios”, in every station of the ecological train and in the bar “Dos hermanas” (Two sisters). There are also two restaurants: “La selva” (The jungle) and “Fortin Cataratas” (Bunker Cataratas) which close around 3 pm. We recommend to grab a quick meal, take the time and find a peaceful spot to enjoy your first meal in the jungle.

Would you love to have a “Great Adventure”?

If you feel really adventurous, we recommend that you add on the “Gran Aventura” tour. Take an open air jeep through the rainforest and then a zodiac open air boat ride up the river to the base of the falls (there is a 100% chance that you will get soaking wet on this boat trip, the falls provide a refreshing “natural shower”. Be sure to take some extra clothes if you want to do this excursion, although each person will be provided with a dry bag once on the boat. There is also approximately a 150 mts. staircase down and then back up to get to/from the boat dock).

Am I close to the airport?

Yes, indeed, so don’t be worried about timing! Check out the map to get an overall idea of distances in Iguazú.

What should I wear?

Comfortable is the word you’re looking for! Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.

The night is young…keep on travelling!

We will definitely recommend Say Hueque for any friends who decide to come to Argentina, a wonderful country of friendly people.

All of you ladies did a tremendous job in making our stay in Argentina wonderful, both in leading tours and making arrangements. I applaud you skills, friendliness, and efficiency.

Our trip to Iguazu Falls was the most memorable of our experiences in South America. I could not believe the size of the falls, massive amount of water flowing over them, and getting wet was fun! Constanza was an outstanding guide.

FLorencia did an excellent job of showing us Buenos Aires on a wonderful 4 hour tour.

Augustina adapted to my need for details and arranged a last minute 4 hour tour of Buenos Aires between our flights. Sylvia was great in making all the initial arrangements and making them according to our needs.

We will definitely recommend Say Hueque for any friends who decide to come to Argentina, a wonderful country of friendly people.

Thanks, Dale and Jane Cunningham

I was able to have a great time at iguazu.

Hi. I guess the weekend staff did not give you the feedback about my call on Saturday night. I arrive to my hotel late at about 10 pm. The person working the desk coyld not speak a word of English. I was hop to talk to some one at the hotel so they could tell me how to get to the park and information about what to do at the park. I was very disappointed that your organization booked me at a hotel that did not speak English and no one was able to help me understand moreabour the park etc. I only had one day in iguazu and get ting in late the night before gave me no time to plan I am very disappointed that your staff did not provide me any information prior to arrival as well. I called your weekend staff and she was very helpful. I found out it cost $100 peso each way to taje a bus. She was able to arrange a guide for $300 pesos. I would have been liat with our her help.

That being said I expected to have a hotel that could help me with the arrangements. I thought that was what I was paying your organization for. I think using trip advisor I could have found a hotel that could have provided me that kind of support and someone who spoke English.

Anyhow based on that situation and my being sent on an all day excursion without lunch lumits my ability to give a positive testimonial.I felt that there was a disconnect from what Henry told me and what I actually experienced.

That being said I had a wonderful time and when I get home I would be happy to provide more detailed feedback about what I did like.

Please let the women who helped me on Saturday that I really appreciate d her helo and because of her I was able to have a great time at iguazu.

Julie

The tour guide was quite knowledgeable

Hi... Thanks for asking...

The tour guide was quite knowledgeabl, pleasant and accommodating... She did everything she could to make our tour a happy adventure... Keep Her...
The tour however, spectacular as it was .... Exhausting... Up at 3:00 AM, arrived back at the hotel 23 hours later was way too much... It was unbearably hot... Airport experience less than desirable... No reflection on your company of course... However,, keep in mind your customers... At 68 years of age one wishes he were 25 again when all nighters were fun times... You would be better to charge more and ensure the comfort of your clients. Max time at the park should not exceed 4 to 5 hours... One doesn't not have to see the whole dam park... Try to include a short rest period/refresher at the on site hotel between walks...complimentary of course. We didn't need to bring rain jackets...too much to carry, Have your guide provide some plastic over the body bags I saw some people wearing... we bought bug spray and didn't use it... Have your guide bring some along In case. There you have it... Was it all worth it.. I suppose but it was just a little too uncomfortable and exhausting especially with the heat and humidity... Oh ... supply a postcard with your name and contact information on it for future clients. I would have been happy to pay more and arrive in comfort... Give people the option. Good Luck...
