Tour Iguazu Falls from Buenos Aires - 3 days

Tour Iguazú Falls in style. Daily flights from Buenos Aires to Iguazú will bring you face to face with some of the most impressive waterfalls in the world! Accompanied by a bilingual guide, this tour will give you the chance to experience an impressive collection of 250 waterfalls. Venture into the jungle and get to know the coatis (native raccoons) and the awe-inspiring “Devil’s throat”. Discover walking trails and the eco-train’s perfect harmony with nature.

Day 1 – Welcome to Iguazú!

The small border town of Puerto Iguazú is the gateway to visit the impressive Iguazú Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site, making it a must-see destination for any traveler visiting Argentina.

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and provided a transfer to your hotel. Answer the call of vacations and take your time to relax at your hotel. If you’re eager to explore, you can visit the “Hito tres fronteras”, a viewpoint west of the town center that stands high above the turbulent reddish-brown junction of the Iguazú and Paraná rivers, which also form the Triple Frontera, or Triple Border between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Or visit the Güirá Oga (the house of birds in native Guaraní language), the sanctuary for animals hurt by illegal hunting and trapping.

Say Hueque tips

For the most adventurous, we recommend to take a bike tour through the rainforest with an specialised guide. You will discover the flora and fauna, the sounds of the jungle, the trail of little native mammals and the traditions of the Guaranies.

Day 2 – Argentinian side of the falls

Today our driver and bilingual guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the National Park, on the Argentinian side.

The falls are surrounded by a humid subtropical forest where the exuberant vegetation is home to many different animals and birds. Our guide will help you spot some of them: ant birds, toucans, manakins, parrots, coatis, just to name a few of the most common birds. Lower and upper walkways weave in and around falls permitting up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. The Argentine side of the falls is filled with a myriad of paths and walkways and stairways which allow you to have an experience from many different perspectives. You will have the chance to meet “The Devil’s throat”: the largest of the falls and for many the most spellbinding. To get to the “Devil’s throat” you take the ecological train and then walk out along boardwalks. After walking and taking pictures of animals and plants, you will have some free time to eat lunch in this amazing environment.

This exciting, 6-7 hour-long excursion is highly recommended in order to experience the true power of Iguazú Falls.

Say Hueque tips

Would you love to have a “Great Adventure”? The “Great Adventure” (gran aventura) is an optional tour you can add on this day. You will take an open air jeep through the rainforest and then a zodiac open air boat ride up the river to the base of the falls (there is a 100% chance that you will get soaking wet on this boat trip, so be sure to take some extra clothes!).

Take a look at our “Iguazú falls – Travel guide” for more practical tips and find out more about entrance fees to the national parks:

Day 3 – Iguazú falls tours: Brazilian side

After breakfast, enjoy a 3-4  hour excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazú Falls. Don´t forget your passport! While Argentina has 80% of the falls on its side, Brazil has the best panoramic view. On the Argentinian side you will have the sensation of being right inside the falls, but only by visiting the Brazilian side you will fully appreciate the immensity of Iguazú falls. Take your time to enjoy it and feel it, to stroll the different walkways and feel the spray of water in your face. Take the boardwalk over the Salto Santa María, it feels like walking on the water. Get closer to the “Devil’s Throat” and feel the power of water! We are sure this is a day you will never forget.

If you don’t want to end this adventure, today you can choose to extend your travels adding on any optional activities, touring in Brazil, Patagonia or the Andes area or return back to Buenos Aires. The shared transfer to the Puerto Iguazu (IGR) airport is included.

The night is young…keep on travelling!

We only used your services for our 2 day excursion to Iguauzu Falls, but that was the highlight of our trip to Argentina!

Hi Patty,

Say Hueque was recommended to us from our hotel in Buenos Aires, Casasur Bellini. We only used your services for our 2 day excursion to Iguazu Falls, but that was the highlight of our trip to Argentina!

We only stayed at one hotel on our trip with you, the Amerian Portal del Iguazu. While it was in a scenic
location to view the Iguazu River pour into the Parana River, and our room did have a nice view of this, the hotel itself was not that great. The facility needs to be updated. You can see wear and tear everywhere. The only way to turn on the lights in our room was to insert TWO keycards into the slot by our front door and even then lightbulbs were not working. The breakfast was very minimal. I did not even see an option for espresso coffee. I wish you had offered different tiers of hotels to choose from at different points. It would have been nice to have the option tos stay at the Melia Hotel in the national park or at the pink hotel on the Brazil side of the falls.

Our guide was very helpful. Our plane from Buenos Aires was late due to storms in the area. Our guide quicky ushered us out of the airport and right to the falls so we could get as much time as possible there with limited time remaining in the day. On the second day, we were running late to get to the airport due to long lines at the Brazil/Argentina border and our driver had the forethought to get our boarding passes ahead of time. Nice job!

In addition to providing more hotel options, I would like to see more air options. We were booked in economy but luckily we were both Sky Priority members and therefore were able to get better seats and carry more luggage. Had we not been elite members, we would have had luggage and seat issues.

Paul

Thanks for all your help!

Hello Say Hueque!

Tango Inn Club was friendly and comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help me after I lost my backpack. But their is a big problem with electricity failures in Iguazu, and Tango Inn does not have strong enough generator back up like the other hotels. So frequent blackouts during the night and no Aircon which was very uncomfortable in those tropical conditions.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi!

I have to congratulate your organisation. It was perfect, everything on time, nice friendly people. It was only one change, due to the stormy weather in BA on Saturday, so we have landed on Ezeiza instead at Aeroparco. Just one caĺl to your 24/7 number and everything was sattled. The driver was already coming to pick me up. Excellent!! (VALDI)

I have only one comment that I have tould also to the guide in Mendoza. I think his name is Sergio. The wine tour was pour. When tasting different wines you should get a piece of bread between one wine and another. In first winery we have got at least water, but in the second Vistandes we have had to taste red wine in the same glass as before white one, without any water to clean the glass and mouth. And they were rushing us as well.

The olive oil tour in Pasrai was very nice and very good. I am writing this just for you to know, because this was not only my opinion. (HUENTATA) In total I am really pleased that I have got recommandation to use your company and I will recommend it further to my friends if needed.

Regards, Nevenka
