IGUAZU FALLS – Power of Nature

Visit Iguazú falls, one of the Seven Wonders of Nature - 2 days

Visit Iguazu Falls in a different way. Accompanied by a naturalist guide and staying in an eco lodge this tour will give you the chance to experience the waterfalls with a focus on nature and the environment. Venture into the jungle and get to know the coatis (native raccoons) and the awe-inspiring “Devil’s throat”.

Day 1 –Welcome to Iguazú, Argentinian side of the falls!

The small border town of Puerto Iguazú is the gateway to visit impressive Iguazu Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site, making it a must see destination for any traveler visiting Argentina.

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and provided a private transfer to your hotel. From here our driver and naturalist guide will pick you up and drive you to the National Park, on the Argentinian side.  The falls are surrounded by a humid subtropical forest where the exuberant vegetation is home to many different animals and birds. Our guide will help you spot some of them: ant birds, toucans, manakins, parrots, coatis, just to name a few of the most common birds. Lower and upper walkways weave in and around falls permitting up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature.

The Argentine side of the falls is filled with a myriad of paths and walkways and stairways which allow you to have an experience from many different perspectives. You will have the chance to meet “The Devil’s throat”: the largest of the falls and for many the most spellbinding. To get to the “Devil’s throat” you take the ecological train and then walk out along boardwalks.

After walking and taking pictures of animals and plants, you will have some free time to eat your box lunch in this amazing environment. After lunch, get ready for another marvelous adventure, the “Gran Aventura” in which you take an open air jeep through the rain forest and then a zodiac open air boat ride up the river to the base of the falls.

This exciting, 6-7 hour-long excursion is highly recommended in order to experience the true power of Iguazú Falls.

Say Hueque tips

There is a 100% chance that you will get soaking wet on the “Gran Aventura” boat trip, the falls provide a refreshing “natural shower”. Be sure to take some extra clothes if you want to do this excursion, although each person will be provided with a dry bag once on the boat. There is also approximately a 150 mts. staircase down and then back up to get to/from the boat dock.

Day 2 – Iguazú falls tours: Brazilian side

After breakfast, enjoy a 3-4  hour excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazú Falls. Don´t forget your passport! While Argentina has 80% of the falls on its side, Brazil has the best panoramic view. On the Argentine side you will have the sensation of being right inside the falls, but only by visiting the Brazilian side you will fully appreciate the immensity of Iguazú falls. Take your time to enjoy it and feel it, to stroll the different walkways and feel the spray of water in your face. Take the boardwalk over the Salto Santa María, it feels like walking on the water. Get closer to the “Devil’s Throat” and feel the power of water! We are sure this is a day you will never forget.

If you don’t want to end this adventure, today you can choose to extend your travels adding on any optional activities, touring in Brazil, Patagonia or the Andes area or return back to Buenos Aires. The private transfer to the Puerto Iguazu (IGR) airport is included.

We only used your services for our 2 day excursion to Iguauzu Falls, but that was the highlight of our trip to Argentina!

Hi Patty,

Say Hueque was recommended to us from our hotel in Buenos Aires, Casasur Bellini. We only used your services for our 2 day excursion to Iguazu Falls, but that was the highlight of our trip to Argentina!

We only stayed at one hotel on our trip with you, the Amerian Portal del Iguazu. While it was in a scenic
location to view the Iguazu River pour into the Parana River, and our room did have a nice view of this, the hotel itself was not that great. The facility needs to be updated. You can see wear and tear everywhere. The only way to turn on the lights in our room was to insert TWO keycards into the slot by our front door and even then lightbulbs were not working. The breakfast was very minimal. I did not even see an option for espresso coffee. I wish you had offered different tiers of hotels to choose from at different points. It would have been nice to have the option tos stay at the Melia Hotel in the national park or at the pink hotel on the Brazil side of the falls.

Our guide was very helpful. Our plane from Buenos Aires was late due to storms in the area. Our guide quicky ushered us out of the airport and right to the falls so we could get as much time as possible there with limited time remaining in the day. On the second day, we were running late to get to the airport due to long lines at the Brazil/Argentina border and our driver had the forethought to get our boarding passes ahead of time. Nice job!

In addition to providing more hotel options, I would like to see more air options. We were booked in economy but luckily we were both Sky Priority members and therefore were able to get better seats and carry more luggage. Had we not been elite members, we would have had luggage and seat issues.

Paul

Thanks for all your help!

Hello Say Hueque!

Tango Inn Club was friendly and comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help me after I lost my backpack. But their is a big problem with electricity failures in Iguazu, and Tango Inn does not have strong enough generator back up like the other hotels. So frequent blackouts during the night and no Aircon which was very uncomfortable in those tropical conditions.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi!

I have to congratulate your organisation. It was perfect, everything on time, nice friendly people. It was only one change, due to the stormy weather in BA on Saturday, so we have landed on Ezeiza instead at Aeroparco. Just one caĺl to your 24/7 number and everything was sattled. The driver was already coming to pick me up. Excellent!! (VALDI)

I have only one comment that I have tould also to the guide in Mendoza. I think his name is Sergio. The wine tour was pour. When tasting different wines you should get a piece of bread between one wine and another. In first winery we have got at least water, but in the second Vistandes we have had to taste red wine in the same glass as before white one, without any water to clean the glass and mouth. And they were rushing us as well.

The olive oil tour in Pasrai was very nice and very good. I am writing this just for you to know, because this was not only my opinion. (HUENTATA) In total I am really pleased that I have got recommandation to use your company and I will recommend it further to my friends if needed.

Regards, Nevenka
