(5 / 5)Thank you for taking care of us in Argentina.
Thank you for taking care of us in Argentina. It was quite an adventure especially with my very limited Spanish. We really enjoyed seeing and photographing all the new plants and animals, glaciers, mountains, buildings, museums, and people. We took 8,000 pictures. Everyone was helpful and I know my Spanish must sound terrible since tense, gender, case, and pronunciation are all off. I know it must seem very strange to hear a reasonably intelligent adult person speaking so poorly. Our return home was painful for me since I had a cold and then an ear infections which I am still recovering from.
The nicest hotel was Hosteria Las Torres but you must reserve early if you want a cheap room. They had the best breakfast but the lunches and dinners are expensive. You can eat at the bar for a lot less and the meals are large enough for 2 people to share so the cost is very reasonable and the hours are better for those of us from the USA. We also had a good time at Two Hotel since the manager lived in NJ for 5 years and he helped us out when the Tango show missed our reservation. The manager gave us the largest and best room in the hotel (906). That was nice of him!
The best excursion was at Torres del Paine since they had a driver, car, and guide and a lunch. All the excursions should say if there is a car for the whole day or just for delivery and pick up or not at all and if there is a lunch. That would make planning a lot simpler. All the excursions were good, the guides knowledgeable and the one with you in Buenos Aires was interesting and fun but the setting was not as novel for us since Buenos Aires is a bit like New York City.
I think it would be nice to have optional night excursions to variety shows, classical guitar, art shows, Opera activities, etc. such as the Ipora Lena show in Brazil.
Thanks again. We had a great time.

Arrived back home in the UK late Saturday afternoon.
Thought I would update you on the trip.
The best hotel was the Kau Yatun in El Calafate. Very relaxing, nice feel at reception and in bar and restaurant. We enjoyed the free outdoor show at the neighbouring estancia especially and the meal was excellent. Room not the best one that was in Mendoza. Although the one at Las Caquenans in Ushuaia was the best we did not book that with you my cousin arranged it. That was mainly because of the fabulous views but it is not cheap. The hotels at Iguazu and Mendoza were both of good standard and we had no complaints
As regards the trips they were all very good I particularly enjoyed the boat ride into the falls at Iguazu whereas my wife could not see enough of the Perito Moreno Glacier. We both loved the penguins and Ushuaia generally. In both Clafate and Ushuaia we had incredibly god weather with little wind (very important) and only a short snow shower at the glacier before we had glorious sunshine. In Mendoza the wine trips were ok but we felt we would have liked to have had more on the tasting perhaps one bodega only or two over a day. Perhaps we needed to think that one through ourselves. The trip to the olive oil plant and the church at the end of the tour were very interesting. The only problem was that the high mountain tour was 10 hours mostly in a coach with little walking. We did not appreciate this and gave it a miss. Instead we walked around Mendoza's tree lined streets and plazas which was very enjoyable
As regards organisation
Posadas to Iguazu was good as the driver coped with a fallen tree and very heavy rain to get us to the Lodge. The problem was that when we arrived we had five hours before dinner and were offered no more than a chance to stir and look at the view. We could have gone for a short walk then. We were told the tour would be the next day and even I knew that the weather was forecast to be bad, which it was. In the end we had an hour on the terrace in the evening and left at 11 the next day. With a bit of planning this could have been better. On the other hand the cooking by Hector was excellent, the best of the holiday apart from my aunts. He came up with a great three course vegetarian meal at short notice. Finally the room was ok but could have been a bit cleaner even allowing for the location.
In Iguazu the trip to the Argentine side got off to a bad start as we missed the bus. We had no message from the tour company so assumed that 8.00 was the start time. However the guide arrived at 7.30 and could not find us although were having breakfast. A car was arranged to transfer us and after that all went well. For the rest of the trip if I had not received a positive confirmation I tried to contact the tour company which was ok except for Ushuaia.
Calafate was well organised and everything was confirmed when we arrived and they were the only one who did our on line booking (to Ushuaia).
In Ushuaia nothing was confirmed and when we tried to contact the tour company NUNATAK it turned out a different company PIRATOUR were doing the trip to Harberton and the penguins. This started at 2.30 and was projected at 7 hours which was not included in the itinerary you provided. The result was that we went out in Ushuaia the previous evening and intended to use our hotel the following evening. If we had known of the late return we would have enjoyed the services of our hotel on the night of our arrival and Ushuaia on our return from the penguins. Instead we had to get a taxi back to the hotel in order to pack and ended up eating in the bar at 11.30.
In Mendoza everything was confirmed on arrival. .
(2 / 5)I was able to have a great time at iguazu.
Hi. I guess the weekend staff did not give you the feedback about my call on Saturday night. I arrive to my hotel late at about 10 pm. The person working the desk coyld not speak a word of English. I was hop to talk to some one at the hotel so they could tell me how to get to the park and information about what to do at the park. I was very disappointed that your organization booked me at a hotel that did not speak English and no one was able to help me understand moreabour the park etc. I only had one day in iguazu and get ting in late the night before gave me no time to plan I am very disappointed that your staff did not provide me any information prior to arrival as well. I called your weekend staff and she was very helpful. I found out it cost $100 peso each way to taje a bus. She was able to arrange a guide for $300 pesos. I would have been liat with our her help.
That being said I expected to have a hotel that could help me with the arrangements. I thought that was what I was paying your organization for. I think using trip advisor I could have found a hotel that could have provided me that kind of support and someone who spoke English.
Anyhow based on that situation and my being sent on an all day excursion without lunch lumits my ability to give a positive testimonial.I felt that there was a disconnect from what Henry told me and what I actually experienced.
That being said I had a wonderful time and when I get home I would be happy to provide more detailed feedback about what I did like.
Please let the women who helped me on Saturday that I really appreciate d her helo and because of her I was able to have a great time at iguazu.

(5 / 5)thanks again for all of your guidance at the beginning of our trip! We had the best mother-daughter adventure in Argentina
Nice to hear from you, and thanks again for all of your guidance at the beginning of our trip! We had the best mother-daughter adventure in Argentina and I will happily write a stellar review of Say Hueque on Trip Advisor, as well as recommend the company to all my friends.
Everyone we met and worked with at Say Hueque and your local tour operators was great - friendly, helpful, efficient, and informative. My apologies if I miss some key people, but thanks to Silvia & Pia for helping us design and hone our itinerary, to Leo for booking flights, to you for greeting us and giving us a half-day tour of Buenos Aires, to guide Gabriela and driver Antonio of Sak Wine & Travel for leading us for 2 days of wine tastings in Mendoza, to folks working with Huellas del Sur in El Calafate and Antartur in Ushuaia [including Clara (?) the guide to Perito Moreno Glacier in the National Park, Sebastian the guide for rafting & hiking in Tierra del Fuego National Park, and especially Augustine our PiraTour guide for Estancia Haberton/Isla Martillo], to Huinca Travel (including driver Herman and guides Mary and another woman whose name I can't remember) in Peninsula Valdes/Puerto Madryn, to Constanza our guide at Iguazu/Iguacu National Parks, and to all the other drivers and people behind the scenes who organized, implemented, and did troubleshooting to make our trip as easy, fun, and varied as possible.
We really enjoyed all of the boutique hotels we stayed at - they provided excellent customer service, with clean, comfortable accommodations, tasty breakfasts, wifi access, and local character. We couldn't pick a favorite! I should note that we dined twice at Hosteria Cauquenes de Nimez in El Calafate after long days out & about because the food was great and we had a nice sunset view of the lake. We also had dinner the one night we stayed at Posada de Madryn in Puerto Madryn, but in that case it wasn't so much by choice but due to distance from main part of town. Fortunately, for the most part the hotels were conveniently located on quiet streets but still within walking distance of highly recommended restaurants [we regularly consulted Say Hueque's brochures and/or Trip Advisor].
It's also hard to pick a favorite excursion because each one was unique and memorable. Mom and I discussed this at length and finally decided that our top experiences were seeing penguins at both Isla Martillo and Punta Tomba (interesting to compare the different terrains of their nesting areas, and we got to see hatchlings at the latter!) and visiting Iguazu/Iguacu Falls. The power of nature is truly awe inspiring!
We really had no complaints about the trip, other than American Airlines losing my bag at the beginning, which certainly had nothing to do with Say Hueque. Aerolineas Argentinas redeemed their one flight cancelation (and separate bag trip) to Mendoza with their excellent customer service. If there is any advice I can give - and this is hard, I'm sure - is to try to schedule flights slightly later in the day to avoid flight pickups before 7:30 a.m., which is the standard time for breakfasts at hotels. The hardest night was returning to L'Hotel Palermo around 1 a.m. after the dinner & tango show, and then being picked up at 5:10 a.m. for transfer to the airport. Ideally the Buenos Aires tango outing would only be scheduled on a night where the guests can sleep in the next morning.
I've CC'd my mom on this email in case she has any additional thoughts to share. We said many, many times during our trip how glad we were to use Say Hueque - you and your colleagues did an amazing job!
With heartfelt thanks,

(4 / 5)We loved the trip and we are very happy with the experience.
Thanks for your message and the recipe of empanadas. We loved the trip and we are very happy with the experience.
The hotel Senderos hosteria in El Chalten very comfortable beds and friendly staff. In addition they offered us a bottle of champagne for the honeymoon. Also the Hotel Austral in Ushuaia was really good quality and friendly staff.
In general the excursion were well organized Argentina and we liked to have arranged the transportation in advance. We liked also to be able to reach to you and tell you how the trip was going. From our point of view the excursion plan and activities in Chile could improve, for example in Puerto Natales we booked a trip in the afternoon in our own because we had a lot of time. We also wanted to see pinguins and we could not make the trip. I think is worth it to mention the potential excursions we can have in each place. Overall the experience was very positive and we enjoyed the trip a lot.

(3 / 5)we really appreciate the good gesture of your company
Thanks for your favorable reply and we really appreciate the good gesture of your company, and that your company handles such issue in a serious manner.
Please also bear in mind that my original idea of complaint is not to seek compensation but to inform your company that such incident should be minimized and should not be repeated.
